
And as if film-makers were magically able to save the best for last, critics are nearly unanimous that The Deathly Hallows, Part 2 is the best film of the entire series and there has been little negative to say about the performances of the film's stars. Cast when they were just 10 and 11 years old, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint have literally grown up on the big screen. They grew in their characters as the story was told through the years, a phenomenon that was also a new experience for movie-goers.
As the story draws to a close, the final Harry Potter film is set to shatter the $1 billion mark in worldwide sales - and will likely end closer to $2 billion after all is said and done. And even though the film series is finally over, J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter will live on in various forms of merchandising, including major theme parks, action figures and, almost certainly, various animated versions of the story.
